Individual winners for the Jayhawks on day two of the two-day meet were Breonna Barker in the 100-yard freestyle, Chelsie Miller in the 500 freestyle, Haley Bishop in the 100 butterfly and the 400 freestyle relay team of Bishop, Haley Molden, Barker and Yulduz Kuchkarova. Bishop, Pia Pavlic and Leah Pfitzer placed 1-2-3 in the 100 butterfly, and Miller, Libby Walker and Sammie Schurig were 1-2-4 in the 500 freestyle.

The Jayhawks, 9-4 in dual meets, will compete in the Big 12 Championships on Feb. 24-27 in Austin, Texas.

“Today was really good,” KU coach Clark Campbell said. “We haven’t performed well on the Saturday session of this meet in a number of years, and I was really pleased with how they came out today. Everyone came out strong and ready to compete, which was great to see after yesterday’s swim.”
