Midland, Texas ? Kansas University’s tennis team opened its fall season Friday as Maria Jose Cardona and Summer Collins competed in doubles and singles matches in the Midland Invitational.
Cardona and Collins paired in doubles to defeat Alabama-Birmingham’s Amy Lowther and McKenna Root, 6-3, to move on to the quarterfinals today.
The Jayhawk duo split their two respective singles matches.
