By Gary Bedore     May 27, 2015

The fifth “Bill’s Basketball Boogie, a benefit for the Assists Foundation,” will be held 7 p.m. until midnight, June 13, at Abe and Jake’s Landing in downtown Lawrence.

The boogie will feature the music of Kansas City’s “Musivo Live.” Food from local restaurants and an open bar will fuel a night of dancing. Attendees are encouraged to wear “creative basketball-inspired or vintage disco themed” clothes. Those who don’t want to dress up can choose casual attire.

Photo galleries from past boogies and information on how to purchase tickets is available at http://www.basketballboogie.org/ There also is information available on how to become an event sponsor at the website.

Information on Self’s upcoming basketball camps for boys and girls third through 12th grade (June 7-11; June 14-18) as well as the parent/child camp (June 12-13) and team camp (June 19-21), is available at http://www.billselfbasketballcamp.com/
