Stigler fourth in 400

— Senior Michael Stigler’s career-best time of 47.43 seconds in the 400 meters highlighted Kansas University’s first day at the Frank Sevigne Husker Track&Field; Invitational on Friday.

Stigler placed fourth. Teammate Kenneth McCuin was eighth in 47.86.

On the women’s side, KU’s Rachel Simon was second in the 5,000, and Sydney Conley took fifth in the lone jump at 6.01 meters (19 feet, 8 3/4 inches).

The meet concludes today.

Stigler ran in the 400 meter race, not the 400 meter hurdles

Thanks Clarence. I was wondering about that. He never goes as low as 4th place in the hurdles.

We have to read the constant drumbeat of "Kansas University" (which is of course, wrong each time it's printed) and then fundamental mistakes like this.....it's sad frankly that this paper is such a relied upon source of KU news.

These kinds of errors should not be tolerated.
