KU men’s golf moves up

? Chase Hanna is tied for fifth and Kansas University men’s golf teammate Conner Peck is alone in ninth after two rounds of the Badger Invitational on Monday at the University Ridge Golf Course.

Hanna shot 1-under 71 and is at even-par 144 through two rounds. Peck shot 71-74-145.

“We got off to a good start in much tougher conditions today, but just couldn’t get the round finished,” KU coach Jamie Bermel said. “I believe we played the last two holes 6 over par.”

Kansas’ other scores: Daniel Hudson, tied for 22nd, 149; Gary Daoust, tied for 51st, 155; Ben Welle, tied for 54th, 156; and David Auer, tied for 62nd, 158.

As a team, KU is tied with Toledo for fourth at 588. Sam Houston State leads with 576.
