— Kansas University softball snapped out of a nasty offensive slump and ended a pair of losing streaks in the process.

The Jayhawks collected 10 hits in a 5-2 victory over Texas on Saturday, ending a seven-game losing skid overall and 14-game skid against UT. It also was Kansas’ first win in Austin since 2007.

They doubled that output in the first inning alone.

Texas fell to 31-20, 10-5.

The teams will conclude their series with a single game at 1 p.m. today.
