UCLA spoils Danny Manning's NCAA tourney debut with Tulsa

Eventually, the pain of losing to UCLA in the NCAA tournament will go away for Danny Manning and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. They want to become tournament regulars and win some games. It just didn't happen this time. Jordan Adams had 21 points and eight rebounds, and Norman Powell scored 15 in his hometown to lead fourth-seeded UCLA to a 76-59 victory over 13th-seeded Tulsa on Friday night, spoiling Manning's NCAA tournament head coaching debut.

KU tennis wins eighth in a row

Kansas University’s women’s tennis team outlasted Central Florida, 4-3, Friday. Maria Jose Cardona, Maria Belen Ludueña and Paulina Los earned the three singles victories for the Jayhawks. Kansas won two of the three doubles matches to take the deciding point.

Freshman Harli Ridling’s team-leading seventh home run of the season gave Kansas University its second-straight come-from-behind win as the Jayhawks defeated Fairfield, 6-4, on Friday. The Jayhawks defeated Kent State, 6-2, earlier Friday.

Nine players combined for a season-high 19 hits, and Kansas University’s baseball team defeated Dartmouth, 13-5, on Friday at Hoglund Ballpark.
