Kansas’ Piché on CLASS list

By Staff Reports     Mar 20, 2014

Kansas University senior closer Jordan Piché was named one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award in collegiate baseball.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Div. I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence — community, classroom, character and competition. Piché is just the second Jayhawk to be considered for this award during the 2013-14 school year; volleyball’s All-American Caroline Jarmoc was named a finalist for the award in the fall.

“Jordan represents our entire program on the field, in the classroom, and in our community in a first-class manner,” KU coach Ritch Price said. “He is one of the best kids I’ve coached in my 37-year career.”
