— New Mexico scored six runs on seven hits off of Kansas University starter Drew Morovick, and the KU baseball team fell, 6-3, on Tuesday at Lobo Field.

Morovick picked up his first loss of the season in 5 2/3 innings after winning three games in a row. He gave up a run in the first inning, but settled down over the next three, sitting down 12 straight New Mexico batters.

The Lobos scored in the fifth, but broke open the game and chased Morovick with a four-run sixth inning. Morovick finished with just five earned runs after KU catcher Michael Tinsley overthrew third base for his second error of the game. The Jayhawks (14-6) had three errors in the loss.
