KU tennis rolls over WVU, 7-0

— Paulina Los ran her singles winning streak to eight matches, and Kansas University tennis routed West Virginia, 7-0, Sunday at the Ridgeview Racquet Club.

It is the first time Kansas (10-3 overall, 2-0 Big 12) opened league play with two wins or more.

WVU fell to 3-10, 0-2.

Dylan Windom (No. 1), Maria Jose Cardona (2), Maria Belen Ludueña (3), Los (4), Claire Dreyer (5) and Morgan Barnhill each claimed singles victories.

Windom-Los and Dreyer-Barnhill also earned doubles victories.

“I thought we did a good job battling adversity today,” said head coach Todd Chapman. “We got off to a really slow start in singles, but fought long enough to change the momentum. It is great to start 2-0 in conference play.”

KU will travel to Orlando, Fla., to face Indiana on Thursday and Central Florida on Friday.
