KU swimmer Miller sets record at Big 12

? Kansas University sophomore Chelsie Miller broke a school record in her 200-yard individual medley preliminary and finished third in the finals on Friday at the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships.

Miller’s prelim time of 1:58.98 broke a seven-year-old KU record, and her final (1:59.25) scored 16 points.

Kansas’ 400 medley relay of Yulya Kuchkarova, Bryce Hinde, Sofiia Filatova and Morgan Sharp placed second and scored 34 points for the Jayhawks (117 points), who sit in fourth out of five teams with two days to go.

500 free — Morgan Sharp (false start DQ).

200 IM — 3. Chelsie Miller, 1:59.25.

400 medley relay — 2. Yulya Kuchkarova, Bryce Hinde, Sonia Filatova, Morgan Sharp, 3:41.16.
