Kansas University senior soccer player Caroline Van Slambrouck has been named to the Scholar All-America Second Team, it was announced Wednesday.

An English major with a cumulative GPA of 3.66, Van Slambrouck has been a three-time all-Big 12 academic first-team selection.

“I couldn’t be prouder of Caroline and all that she’s accomplished this season,” KU coach Mark Francis said. “She’s not only an exceptional talent on the soccer field but has also proven that she is one of the nation’s top performers in the classroom, as well. We have been very fortunate to have her associated with this program.”
