Kansas junior right fielder Connor McKay gets low to snag a fly ball during Kansas' game against Missouri State, Wednesday evening at Hoglund Ballpark.

Kansas University surrendered three runs in the top of the ninth, and the Jayhawks losing streak hit four games with a 6-5 setback to Missouri State on Wednesday at Hoglund Ballpark.

KU — which has lost nine of its last 11 games — carried a 5-3 lead into the ninth. Closer Stephen Villines (1-2) gave up three straight hits that made it 5-all, and a booted grounder by Colby Wight at third allowed the go-ahead run to score.

Kansas (23-2) had 13 hits on the night, including a career-best 5-for-5, two-RBI performance by Michael Suiter.

Missouri State improved to 18-19.

The Jayhawks will travel Friday for a three-game series at Baylor.

I don't think KU is 23-2 on the season, something like 23-20 or 23-21 sounds more accurate. Price needs to go though, he hasn't made KU better overall during his time at KU and seems to be in worse shape now than when he took over.

Seems like the first opportunity to trash talk comes from people, in this case a person, who knows little about the program's history and the competitive strides made by Price and a few others. Where were your praises of the kids and coaches when they took the series from Texas? Like a snake in the grass who hides in wait for a time to strike.

Good luck at Baylor this weekend!
