— Kansas University’s tennis team won the doubles point, but TCU won five of six singles matches to beat the Jayhawks, 5-2, running Kansas’ losing streak to six straight matches.

KU’s teams of Dylan Windom-Paulina Los and Maria Jose Cardona-Maria Belen Ludueña won their matches to give KU a 1-0 lead, but Kansas won just one other point the rest of the day, when Anastasija Trubica beat Kit Snyder, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 6 singles.

“I was very proud of our effort today,” first-year KU coach Todd Chapman said. “I thought we competed at a different level today as a team from Friday. We put ourselves in a lot of positive situations today. We just had a hard time closing things out.”

TCU improved to 12-1 and 4-4, while Kansas fell to 11-10, 2-6.

KU will travel Saturday to conclude the regular season at Kansas State.
