— Kansas University senior Thanuttra Boonraksasat recorded her second straight top-10 finish Tuesday as KU’s women’s golf team finished fourth in the Challenge at Onion Creek.

Boonraksasat fired a final-round 75 and finished sixth place with a three-round 216. KU sophomore Yupaporn Kawinpakorn shot a 73 Tuesday to finish in a tie for seventh at 218.

Texas Tech won the team title with a three-round 868, three strokes ahead of runner-up Miami’s 871. Coastal Carolina was third at 875 followed by Kansas’ 876 in the 11-team field.

“We were in good position going into the final round today, but we just didn’t finish as strong as we are capable of playing the last few holes,” KU coach Erin O’Neil said.

Congratulations on a solid, highly competitive outing. A putt here or there, and who knows? Keep working, ladies. We're proud of you!
