Pierson, KU's leading receiver who has missed portions of KU's last seven games, may be done for the season because of the lingering effects of a concussion suffered Oct. 5 against Texas Tech. KU coach Charlie Weis said Tuesday that even though Pierson continued to be cleared by doctors and was able to play last week against West Virginia, the best thing for the player and the program might be to shut him down.
