The 2013 Sunflower Showdown between Kansas University and Kansas State will kick off at 11 a.m. on Nov. 30 at Memorial Stadium, the Big 12 Conference announced today.

The Jayhawks and Wildcats will be closing the regular season against one another for the first time in years, with KSU moving into the slot previously reserved for Missouri on the Jayhawks’ schedule.

With Missouri now playing in the SEC, there was a concerted effort to move the KU-KSU match up to the final week of the season to build the hype for a game that had been played in the past as early as October.

The game will be televised by Fox Sports 1 and will mark the season finale for Kansas.

KU (3-7 overall, 1-6 Big 12) will play at Iowa State (1-9, 0-7) at 7 p.m. on Saturday in a game that represents KU’s last chance this season to snap a road losing streak that dates back to 2009. It also features the one-win Cyclones favored by six points.
