KU track sends 12 to NCAA Indoor Championships

Kansas University’s women’s track team will send 11 athletes to the NCAA Indoor Championships, the NCAA announced Monday.

Andrea Geubelle (triple jump, long jump) and Francine Simpson (long jump), Natalia Bartnovskaya and Demi Payne (pole vault), Alena Krechyk (weight throw), Anastasiya Muchkayev (shot put), Lindsay Vollmer (pentathlon), Diamond Dixon (400, 4x400 relay), and Denesha Morris, Paris Daniels and Taylor Washington (4x400) will compete Friday and Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Kyle Clemons will represent the KU men in the 400.

How does that compare with other top schools? Chances for a national championship?

Apparently Running Times thinks KU women will win the indoor title and the Oregonian thinks Oregon might be under-seeded against the Jayhawks.

let's do it to it ladies! season bests and PRs....let's shoot for 'em in all events.....if we get a few, we should be able to lift the title trophy.....good luck and Go Jayhawks!

WOW!.....I am very happy for the team and would like to get videos of performances.....on future web articles. They could be patched. Just hoping.
