— Freshman Chelsie Miller recorded 17 points for Kansas University’s swimming and diving team to lead the Jayhawks on the third day of the Big 12 championships.

Miller, a Houston native, returned to her home state to take second place with an NCAA B-time standard of 4:15.01 in the 400-yard IM. The Jayhawks scored 201 total points on the day, giving them a total of 326.5.

Kansas totaled 37 points in the 400-yard IM thanks to a season-best effort from junior Alison Moffit (4:21.38, fifth), and a career-best effort from senior Rebecca Swank (4:24.60, 11th).

The Jayhawks’ 326.5 points after day three keeps them in fifth place behind Texas (732), West Virginia (375), TCU (369) and Iowa State (341.5) heading into the final day of the championships.

Kansas women athletes have been doing great things this year and I for one am giving them a tip of the hat. Keep up the good work and thanks for all your hard work.
