Kevin McLemore, a 6-foot senior guard from St. Louis' Normandy High and brother of Ben McLemore, will not be attending Kansas University next year, his AAU coach, Darius Cobb, said Thursday.
Cobb, who also is a close family friend and mentor to Ben and Kevin, indicated there had been some confusion over Twitter posts and reposts on Thursday that indicated Kevin would be attending KU.
"We are in the process of finding the best junior college or prep school we can for Kevin," said Cobb, coach of the St. Louis Majestics' AAU team.

Sounds like an issue of grades to me. A year or two and Kevin may be interested in Kansas by virtue of the fact that Ben has made a name here. I say mine the whole McLemore family.

It's still under Latest Headlines, just doesn't appear under Men's Basketball for some reason.

Uh, relevant question .. is the kid even a high D-I prospect? That might be the best place to start.

Maybe, maybe not. I wasn't in on the twitter confusion, but I imagine some fans might have gotten their hopes up that if Kevin came it might persuade Ben to stay another year. If that was the case, I don't care if he had Tyler Self's game. Ben would be worth two scholarships!

No. God no. He does have some mid-major interest but he won't even be at that level next year. As the article mentions, he will likely go prep or possibly juco. I do seem to recall the younger Mclemore and Wayne Selden (who is playing out of this world this season for Tilton) teaming up on the AAU circuit and putting on quite a show.

Doesn't matter. He can walk on and have Ben pay his tuition a la Wesley. I like having legacy kids in the fold. I'm hoping AW3's brother comes to KU when he's ready.
