? Frank Duncan pitched 7 2/3 scoreless innings and Kansas University collected a season-high 14 hits as the Jayhawks defeated Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, 8-0, on Friday.

The Jayhawks (3-2) originally were scheduled to host Northwestern in a weekend series, but a snowstorm caused KU to cancel those games and pick up three games in Arkansas. KU will play Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. and Jackson State at 5 p.m. today in Conway, Ark.

Duncan (1-0) yielded two hits and two walks while striking out six. No SIU-Edwardsville runner advanced past second base.
