Missouri adds ex-Jayhawk Tania Jackson

Former Kansas University women’s basketball forward Tania Jackson has been added to the Missouri women’s basketball roster, MU announced Thursday.

Jackson, who is a Lawrence native and attended Lawrence High, will be able to play immediately with one year of eligibility left after earning her undergraduate degree at KU.

The 6-foot-3 Jackson played in 14 games for the Jayhawks last season, averaging 6.9 points and 6.4 rebounds before leaving KU’s program in January.

Before I call her a traitor I'd like to think she's going there to burn the school down. If something bad doesn't happen in the next year then I will call here a traitor.

Missouri? Who?! That sounds familiar, but I don't really recall this "Missouri."

Yes, what is this "Missouri" of which you speak?

She must have known she wasn't gonna play with our stellar class led by the twins.. Can't blame her for transferring to a D2 school

If you follow the team you will know that, while talented, she was never willing to put the effort into being a premier player. Her on-court and bench pouting were embarassing. I find it difficult to ever say (or read) negative things in print about players, but this is different. I was never so glad to see a player leave (by the way, in the middle of the season with no thought about how it impacted her team).

The one time "ex" Jayhawk is appropriate.

Good riddance. Good luck getting the smell off.

Oh. My. Goodness. When I knew her (grades 7-9), she was an honor student, gifted athlete and very well liked by both students and adults.I was shocked when she quit last year, but going to Fizzoo takes the prize for shock. Really, Tania??? Say it ain't so...

From the previous comments, it seems as if Tania Jackson and Missouri are a perfect match, seeing as how they both resemble a similar trait.

It's probably not the first time, but I can't personally recall a KU athlete transferring to that loserville school on the other side of the state line.

It may be time for an intervention. A neuropscyh referral may be in order here. Or, maybe her attending KU was a plot all along, to sabotage the lady Jay's...

A Lawrence NATIVE ???

This could be the beginning of the end.

UNLESS - she's going there to pull a Reverse Quantrill.

Then you GO girl.

She wasn't very good anyways! Good deal for us because she can continue to be average/below average at Mizzou........Works out for both of us.

Are her parents aware of this decision?

And Missouri took a Kansas transfer?????????

When you think about it that just shows even our scrapheap is good enuff for them!

What terrible things to say to a kid that is just exercising her options to transfer. Tania was as good a player as any on the team and I doubt if she was threatened by the twins or any incoming players. Come on get real and wish this young Lady Luck whether at ku or wherever
