Kansas University basketball signee Joel Embiid scored seven points and grabbed seven rebounds as the World Team defeated the U.S. squad, 112-98, in Saturday’s Nike Hoops Summit played in the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.

Embiid, a 7-footer from The Rock School in Gainesville, Fla., who is originally from Cameroon, hit one of two shots and five of six free throws while playing 16 minutes. He had two assists and a blocked shot.

“Joel Embiid’s potential is scary,” Tweeted ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla, who watched Embiid practice last week.

Andrew Wiggins, a 6-7 forward from Huntington (W.Va.) Prep, who has a final list of KU, Kentucky, Florida State and North Carolina, scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the World Team. He hit six of 16 shots, one of five three-pointers. The forward, who is originally from Canada, also hit four of five free throws and had four assists against four turnovers in 31 minutes. Duke signee Jabari Parker had 22 points, while Kentucky signees Julius Randle and Andrew Harrison had 19 apiece for the U.S. team.

Wiggins is in no hurry to choose a college.

“I’ve been traveling for three weeks straight so I’m looking forward to just laying in bed for hours and hours, watching TV,” Wiggins said after the game as quoted by Jonathan Givony of draftexpress.com. “I’m looking forward to shutting down, getting some rest, getting some me time before it all gets crazy.”

Of Wiggins, Givony stated: “he played a solid all around game even though he wasn’t flashy.”

Wiggins is expected to meet with North Carolina’s Roy Williams on Monday, KU’s Bill Self on Tuesday and Florida State’s Leonard Hamilton on Wednesday.

Adams’ list: Anrio Adams, a 6-foot-3 freshman guard from Seattle, who decided to transfer from KU following his freshman season, says he has a list of USC, Boise State, UCLA, Arizona State, Gonzaga and Washington State at this time.
