KU women’s golf in 8th place

— Thanuttra Boonraksasat shot an even par 72 on the second round of the Dale McNamara Invitational to lead the Kansas women’s golf team to a eighth-place, two-round score of 598 on Monday at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.

The Jayhawks shot a 295 in the morning round and a 303 in the afternoon.

Boonraksasat shot a three-over 75 in the morning round and leads the Kansas golfers with a 147, which is tied for 17th among the 75-individual field.

Other KU scores: Yupaporn Kawinpakorn, tied for 23rd, 149; Meghan Potee, tied for 28th, 150; Gabby DiMarco, tied for 37th, 152; and Audrey Yowell, tied for 49th, 155.

The tournament concludes today.

Its hard to get a perspective on how good 8th place is unless you know how many are competing.
