I pray that all of the TCU vs KU predictions are wrong, but sadly, they may be close. Rock Chalk!

I'm trying to figure out if Gary thinks we score two field goals or miss the PAT. Both seem equally plausible.

I have additional respect for Jesse. The fact that you did it is admirable. The fact that you admit it is an act of courage. Middle school can be defining years ........

Come on Matt, you kept saying this was a game you thought KU would steal this one from TCU and you pick KU to lose by 20. Did last weeks game force you to rethink that one?

Fair question and the answer is yes. I said that all summer based largely on the fact that I believed KU would be riding a sweet wave of confidence heading into this week and the stadium would be full and rocking. As I type this, I don't think either of those things is true so that's why I'm picking TCU.

I do think KU will be competitive and look better than they have the past couple of weeks, but I think the recipe for the upset went out the window when Rice's field goal went through the uprights. Guess we'll see.

Not even one of you thinks KU will win? Thank you for your vote of confidence.

70 - 14? LOL. This isn't Turner Gill.

It will be a game where both teams score in the 30s.

Kansas 38 - TCU 35

70-14? You should probably quit any journalism job if you believe that.

Sorry, No wonder you guys were 3-3 last week. I'm still taking KU. I mean we have the 11th-and-a-half man.

Matt, where can I listen to some of these tracks? Itunes?

0

Matt Tait 8 months, 1 week ago

Appreciate you asking... Nowhere as of yet. Haven't really thought about the iTunes thing, but I guess I could check into it. My dad was in a band (and still is) my entire life so he and some of his buddies helped me record them.

There's a few that are pretty decent, some that are pretty sappy and several others that will never see the light of day... Should've said "about a dozen songs — that I'd tell you about."

Because of my job and my love of sports, I often get painted into the "jock" category pretty quickly. But music is another passion of mine and I'm so thankful that I inherited the feel for it from my old man.

If any of the tracks ever land anywhere, I'll send ya a note.

Jesse: I didn't really need to know that.

TCU 45 Kansas 10

TCU is one of the two best defenses KU will face this season and with KU's offense being one dimensional, that adds to the offense not looking very good unless Crist suddenly turns it on this week which I don't believe will happen. KU's defense, while improved, is still a bottom of the Big 12 defense. The only chance KU has at winning this game is for KU to be +2 or better in the turnover department and the offense has to capitalize on those turnovers with TD's and not FG's. If that doesn't happen, then TCU cruises to an easy win in their Big 12 debut.

Florida 14 Tennessee 27

Tennessee is going to be a contender in the SEC east this year while Florida's offense will continue to struggle to score enough points to hang with the better SEC offenses.

Arizona St. 35 Missouri 27

Admittedly biased pick, but ASU has looked very good so far this year and I do honestly think they can steal this one in Columbia from the kitties.

Notre Dame 27 Michigan St. 30

This should be another classic match up between these two teams and I like the home team late.

Northern Illinois 24 Army 28

Army's triple option is more than NIU can handle and the Black Knights squeak one out,

Navy 17 Penn St. 28

Penn St. should finally get on the board this year as long it doesn't come down to FG's.

Frankly, no one asked for your picks. And what do you know about any if the defenses we are going to play against to already say TCU will be one of top 2 defenses we play this year?

0

danmoore 8 months, 1 week ago

Talent wise this team isn’t much better than last year’s squad and if it was last year’s team playing this would be one of those soul crushing defeats. I say KU by 3 on a game ending FG that hits the uprights and bounces through for the win.

For those of us who are still avid Missouri haters: it was reported this afternoon that Franklin is doubtful (shoulder injury). The pros here probably had made their selections before that news broke. Adjust your picks accordingly.

43-20 TCU.

This is one bad football team.

I just am not ready to believe in Tennessee yet.

Look what happened to Georgia Tech two years ago. Came into Memorial Stadium with a similar national ranking and left crying. Could happen again today.
