— Baylor’s Max Muncy knocked in the winning two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Bears edged out Kansas University’s baseball team, 8-6, on Sunday at Baylor Ballpark.

The two teams ended the game early after previously agreeing not to start another inning after 4:15 p.m.

The Jayhawks (10-13 overall, 0-3 Big 12) fought back to tie the game after an early 6-1 deficit, but couldn’t complete the comeback. Alex DeLeon led the KU offense with a 3-for-4 outing and his first home run of the season.

Kansas will take on Missouri State at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Springfield, Mo.
