Charlotte, N.C. Kansas University’s softball team was declared the champion of the Charlotte Classic Sunday after tournament officials canceled the championship game in advance of rain and thunderstorms.
The Jayhawks (7-2) won all four of their games at the tournament and will play Fairfield at 9 a.m. Friday in Wilmington, N.C.

Stony Brook? Why were we not in the ACC, Big12, SEC challenge to get these girls ready for a grueling Big 12 season? We should at least be playing mid level teams instead of rec level.

That is the problem with a lot of KU's teams, they don't play good teams in the non-conference which builds the record but does nothing to make them a better team, and they pay the price when conference play starts.

Probably because of no invite. They don't let just anyone in these tournaments.
