I'm not posting this to "start" anything - it's my own personal frustration that I need to vent. I loved the twins, still do, but I could be lovin them a whole lot better if they had Kansas uniforms on and we were 22-0.

Despite your frustration, mine and a bunch others, i am sure the twins are enjoying the cheddar they're eating and life they've been dreaming of since childhood. With that said, and as you know, this is reality and the twins did what was best for them and their families. They gave us some great memories and i "salute" them for turning around their lives and their games.

Yeah, they had to go and it was an absolute no brainer. I'm also not trying to start anything, but I notice you didn't post this after Kieff had 13pt and 10rb a few weeks ago, or when he went for 16pt and 9rb against GS. He's averaging over 7 points and is grabbing 5 boards a game while playing over 20 mins a game as a rookie. Not bad to be honest.

Marcus will come around too...too talented not to.

I would have hated to see them come back and have a Robbie Hummel type situation where they decide to come back despite every reason to leave......blow out theie knee, and wind up never fully recovering and becoming undraftable.

As long as we're having some friendly banter here, I'll keep going.

I'm an old fart and live in this fantasy world where, someday, we'll go back to players staying in college for all four years. Notice I said "fantasy", so no need to tell me how stupid I am. I already know.

It will never happen, and will in fact get progressively worse until someday the only people playing college ball will be 5'5" and weigh 260. All the rest will go pro directly from High School. Or Middle School, or Kindergarten.

That won't stop me from wishing that great players like Marcus and Markieff had stayed that last year. They may have been picked #1 and #2 in the draft (a distinct possibility) in stead of #13 and #14. True, they're still making a boatload of money, but 1 & 2 would be more.

As you mention, there's always the risk of injury. The same injury could have happened their freshman, sophomore or junior years. Or they could have injured themselves slipping on a banana peel, or playing Wii.

Like I said before, I have nothing against either of them - love the time they spent here and what they did for KU, I just wish they would have stayed another year. Same for T-Rob - I know he's gone, but that can't keep me from wishing that he'd stay.

It is friendly banter indeed however i am not sure either would go 1 or 2 in the draft. In fact the last senior to go #1 was in 2000. Todays GM's draft scouting criteria is wack. It's all a crap shoot but it's one that they are willing to take based on "potential." But yes, we all have fantasies, the twins staying was one of them.

FSU & phog - I know you guys are right, it's just one of those pet peeves of mine. Like seeing people texting while driving. I want it to stop, but it ain't likely.

              RCJH !

I think we both agree with you. Just friendly banter.
