Kansas University volleyball coach Ray Bechard earned the AVCA Central Region Coach of the Year award, while KU middle blocker Caroline Jarmoc was selected for the All-Central Region First Team.

Bechard, who led the Jayhawks to a program-best 26-7 record, is now one of eight finalists for the AVCA’s National Coach of the Year award, which will be announced on Dec. 13.

Jarmoc, a junior and All-Big 12 first-teamer, will be considered for All-America honors. That list will be announced on Dec. 12.
