• Michael Cummings had a decent day running (42 yards) and throwing (6 for 11, 76 yards).

• Tony Pierson tied with Cummings for the team's longest run (17 yards), had the longest reception (42 yards) and the longest kick return (26 yards).

Gassers

• Dayne Crist. Jimmay Mundine broke free down the middle of the field on KU's first play from scrimmage and Crist overthrew him. Crist completed one pass to KU jersey, one to West Virginia jersey. His other three passes hit the turf.

• JaCorey Shepherd was burned for 45 yards on a Geno Smith-to-Stedman Bailey on game's first play from scrimmage, by which time the rout was on.
