If the University of Kansas lowered their prices between $3 and $5 per ticket, and then added some seats to above the one level on the North End, they could actually raise their revenues from football games and get more fans at the games at the same time. If they could get that end closed it, it could be a real home field advantage as long as the student section doesn't check out at half time.

I've been to Chiefs games at Arrowhead and a couple of games at Memorial Stadium. In 2004 when KU beat K-State to break the losing streak, Memorial Stadium was louder than Arrowhead. It needs to be that loud every home game. No excuses.

Because we are watching a LAME football team that can barely win a game. We would rather go tailgate and drink beer. We aren't a football school and never will be.

This article is for BASKETBALL, not football. LOL

Yeah, football comments are obviously inappropriate here.

But, in response to Jayhawkintx73's comment "... as long as the student section doesn't check out at half time..", when was the last time the student section checked out at halftime for a game at AFH? I won't even dignify this with the Charlie Sheen iconic comment! Adding seats in a stadium where students can't sit through a losing game could be a monumental missuse of funds on the University's part. Lowering ticket prices because of a lack of interest in a program in a rebuilding mode seems a little desperate. Let's just ride the curve.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled program: Season ticket sales for KU Basketball.....

Re-orientating jayhawkintx73's comment to basketball, it would be great to add some seats to the North end of Allen to generate more income, however, a little old guy called the Fire Marshall has put a cap on the attendance capacity and, when it comes to public safety, he has the first, middle and last word!!

Posted just for fun with zero malice towards all.

Little concerned here, or perhaps we don't have all the info. Story above says package includes 19 home games. Is that all the games, including the exhibitions and Sprint Center game (previously included in package), or are the 19 home games just regular season at AFH.

Yes the total season package prices are the same, but if it is only 19 games total, then the price per game will have gone up, because last season's package was 20 games total, which included all the mentioned games in the previous paragraph.

If you all have info on this, it would be good to know. Rock Chalk!!

Maybe we could make the AFH floor made of glass (or see through plastic) than we could put seats underneath the floor, so you could watch from some other crazy angle.

Or suspend seats above the court, almost like you are riding a disneyland ride like (soaring California) where you are floating over the court.

don't know what the Fire Marshall would say, but adding seats couldn't hurt.

I looked at the non-conference schedule and the home games are horrendous and I mean HORRENDOUS! Taking that into consideration along with one less home game and definite lack of talent on the team it will be a struggle whether to purchase tickets.
