Tulsa athletic director a candidate for KU

Tulsa athletic director Bubba Cunningham has emerged as a strong candidate for the vacancy at Kansas University, according to sources.

Cunningham, who came to Tulsa in 2005 from Ball State, earned his bachelor’s (1984) and master’s degrees (1988) from Notre Dame, where he played on the golf team for two years. Cunningham worked in the athletic department at Notre Dame from 1987-2002, when he left to head Ball State’s athletic department.
