The KU volleyball team walked away from Baylor with its first road victory. The Jayhawks improved to 4-4 in conference play with the four-set victory.

Waco, Texas Kansas University’s volleyball team beat Baylor, 25-22, 25-27, 26-24, 26-24, on Wednesday night at Ferrell Center.
Senior Melissa Manda had 28 digs, moving her career total to a school-record 1,362. Junior Allison Mayfield had 19 kills and 19 digs, one shy of her career best.
Senior Karina Garlington and red-shirt freshman Caroline Jarmoc added 12 kills apiece. Jarmoc had an .500 attack percentage while adding eight blocks.
KU’s defense held the Bears to a .133 hitting efficiency, the 14th Jayhawk opponent to hit below .200 this season.
KU, which is 13-2 when winning the first set, scored its first Big 12 Conference road victory as it improved to 13-6 overall and 4-4 in the league. Baylor dropped its fourth-straight home contest and fell to 10-9, including 3-5 in the Big 12.
KU will play host to Oklahoma at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Horejsi Center.

could we possibly make it three in a row Saturday? OU blanked KSU in three sets....and has lost to ISU, whom we have defeated.
