Colorado AD Mike Bohn not talking about KU opening

University of Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn, whose Buffs play Kansas University in football today at Memorial Stadium, tells the Denver Post he has not been contacted about his alma mater’s AD vacancy.

Saying he is happy at CU and looks forward to CU’s move to the future Pac-12 next year, Bohn told the Post he did not want to be quoted about the KU opening because anything he says could lead to further speculation.

Bohn, who turns 50 on Nov. 16, earns a base salary of $300,000 annually, with another $100,000 possible from incentives, the Denver Post indicated. Bohn, who played football and baseball at KU in the early 1980s, has been CU’s AD since April 13, 2005.

WOW! I had no idea Mike Bohn was a KU alumni. How embarrasing. This guy has no business being an AD at the division I level. There is a reason he has not been contacted by KU and should not be an option. I imagine CU would be thrilled to be rid of Hawkins and Bohn in the same year.
