KU soccer falls, 3-0

Kansas University’s soccer team fell to Creighton University, 3-0, in an exhibition match on Sunday at Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

KU soccer drops exhibition contest

The Jayhawks took on the Blue Jays from Creighton in the first of several preseason exhibition games Sunday at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex. KU lost the game 3-0.

Whitney Berry had five shots — one on goal — while Kortney Clifton and Madi Hillis each had two shots. Hillis had one on goal for KU. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Stroudhad two saves and allowed two goals. Kat Liebetrau allowed one goal.

i hope Creighton is supposed to be darn good...not the result i was looking for.

Not a good sign, but soccer is a funny game. I wish we knew more about the game. Like, shots on goal, possession, etc... We may have lost, but were still the better team. Mark Francis is a great coach, but a coach cannot overcome a lack of talent. Let's hope it's not a lack of talent.

It's difficult to say that Jayhawks was the "better" team when clearly, Creighton outplayed them. The score indeed indicates this and their own coach agreed.

Any game is anyone's game. Creighton has a strong team and it came together for them in Kansas.

Great game for both teams!
