First quarter

13:40 — KU: Kerry Meier 62 pass from Todd Reesing (Jacob Branstetter kick), 4 plays, 73 yards, 1:20

Following three slow starts, the Jayhawks needed just 1:20 to move ahead 7-0 on Reesing’s 62-yard bomb to Meier.

10:22 — USM: Jonathan Massey 1 pass from Austin Davis (Justin Estes kick), 7 plays, 68 yards, 3:12

Running back Damion Fletcher took a short pass from Davis 49 yards down the right sideline to set up a first-and-goal situation from the KU three-yard line.

4:10 — KU: Dezmon Briscoe 20 run (Branstetter kick), 12 plays, 74 yards, 6:05

Facing fourth-and-six from the USM 31-yard line, Reesing completed an 11-yard pass to receiver Johnathan Wilson for a first down.

After review, officials upheld a 49-yard reception by USM receiver DeAndre Brown that set up a first down at the KU 31-yard line.

Now KU's football team is 4-1. The loss is Harrison Barnes, who now won't play basketball at Kansas, because of the embarrasment caused by the team's fight with the basketball team.
