By J-W Staff Reports     Sep 3, 2009

KU football player Darrell Stuckey was named to the 30-player Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award candidate list Wednesday.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Div. I senior in the Football Bowl Subdivision and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence — classroom, character, community and competition.

Stuckey is now on lists for six national awards. He was previously named to the Bronko Nagurski (top defender), Chuck Bednarik Award (top defender), Jim Thorpe (top defensive back), Ronnie Lott (on and off the field success for a defender) and the AFCA Good Works Team (off the field contributions) watch lists.
