More than 100 golfers participated in the Bill Self Boy Scout Classic on Monday at Lawrence Country Club.
The event supports the more than 1,200 Boy Scouts of Douglas County and raises more than $13,000.
“Anytime you put your name on something that is as positive and does as much for youth that the Boy Scouts has done over time, that’s a nice honor,” said Self, Kansas University’s seventh-year basketball coach. “We’re maxed out once again with more than 100 golfers participating to raise money for a great cause.”
