Kansas University sophomores Ekaterina Morozova and Erin Wilbert, and freshmen Sara Lazarevic and Victoria Khanevskaya will travel to Norman, Okla. to compete in the ITA tennis Regionals, which begin Thursday.
The four Jayhawks were chosen from the top players from more than 20 Div. I schools.
All four teammates will compete in singles and doubles play. Morozova, Lazarevic and Wilbert had undefeated singles performances in the KU Invitational last month. Together, the four players have tallied a 15-5 record this fall.
In doubles play, both teams (Morozova-Lazarevic and Wilbert-Khanevskaya) enter the tournament with an undefeated record.
Main draw competition will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday and conclude Sunday. Sunday’s singles finalists and doubles champion will travel to Yale University in New Haven, Conn. to compete in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships from Nov. 5-8.
