Stillwater, Okla. Senior Lauren Bonds’ set a career-best time and finished in second place to lead the Kansas University women’s cross country team to a second-place finish at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday.
Bonds ran the 5K race in 17:19.50, which was over a minute faster than her previous best.
The KU men placed sixth. For the third consecutive race, sophomore Donny Wasinger paced the Jayhawks, running the 8K in 24:56.30 to finish 31st.
