Kansas soccer upended by Texas A&M

— Despite goals from Estelle Johnson, Caitlin Noble and Shelby Williamson, the No. 19 Kansas University soccer team fell at No. 15 Texas A&M;, 4-3, on Friday night.

Kansas fell to 8-3-1 overall and 0-2 in the Big 12, while the Aggies improved to 7-4 and 2-1.

Noble scored her second goal of the season in the 88th minute to bring KU within one. Freshman Whitney Berry set the play up with a pass into the box. Texas A&M;’s Alyssa Mautz scored the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute.

The Jayhawks took just one shot in the final 2:52.

Texas A&M; held a 21-15 advantage in shots, including a game-high five by Mautz. Berry led the Kansas attack with four shots, including two on net.

The Jayhawks will travel to face Texas at 1 p.m. Sunday.

i was pretty fired up about our team after the first few games, but now i don't know. can't stop anyone....we've given up 3 goals a game or more in our last 3 matches.

we have to beat UT for a shot at the league title....and i don't see that happening. and another loss in the league hurts for the NCAA as well.

C'mon soccer women! Go Jayhawks!
