Can someone tell me why Texas has central florida on thier schedule right in the middle of conference play? WTF?

esorrentino (Eric Sorrentino) says...

Texas was supposed to play Central Florida on Sept. 19, but UT moved up the Texas Tech game to that date so it could get on national TV. As a result, the UCF game got bumped back to this weekend.

coolhand357- It is just how their schedule worked out this year. I think FLorida and a couple of other teams are the same way. If I recall, OU played an early conference game against Tech. I think it was like September 19th and then played a non con Utep the next week. KU and the rest of the Big 12 did not have conference games until October or somewhere around there.

coolhand357- I was three minutes late on the comment and Mr. Sorrentino was much better informed in his response. I do think that there are other teams that are the similar way in other conferences though.

I'll be at the farm on gameday. Back when I bought the tickets before the season began I was expecting a pretty comfortable day and a win by 3 or 4 touchdowns. Now, I'm not so sure I wouldn't bet on KSU. Hopefully the defense continues its steady performance and improvement and Todd shows up with a chip on his shoulder. Jake/Toben getting the ground game going would be of much help as well. Rock Chalk, hope to see a lot of Crimson and Blue when I walk into The Barn.

Looks like a bunch of Homers to me. If I wasn't so biased, I think I would have to pick the Wildcats. They're at home and based on common opponents they look like the better team. Hard to believe they lost to Louisanna Lafayette but they could actually win the north.

Nah, you wrong jhokfan, KU is due for a win, Kstate a loss, and I think KU will be fired up. We do have far superior talent, it's time we put it together.

45-21 KU

Not saying we're not a better team, but performance wise the Wildcats have done better since conference play began. If we put it together we're a better team and we leave Manhattan with a W. Last 3 games we have not been able to put it together. This is the Wildcats biggest game of the year. I'm sure Bill circled this game on his calendar when he took the job.
