Oak Ridge, Tenn. The Kansas University rowing team earned three second-place finishes on Day One of the South/Central Region Championships on Saturday.
The Jayhawks finished second in the C/D Varsity Eight semifinal, the Open Four semifinal and the Second Varsity Eight semifinal.
Today, Kansas will compete in the Varsity Eight C final, Second Varsity Eight C final, Novice Eight C final and Open Four C final.
The Jayhawks will face both Kansas State and Texas in the Varsity Four. KU already has beaten both Kansas State and Texas in head-to-head action this season and at the Big 12 Championships.
