— Dougie McCaulley and Liz Kocon homered, but Iowa State collected 11 hits off three Kansas University pitchers, and the Cyclones cruised to a 7-2 Big 12 softball victory on Saturday.

Kansas, which had its winning streak snapped at three games, dropped to 21-29 overall, 6-10 in the Big 12. Iowa State improved to 24-28 and 6-11.

Val George (10-15) took the loss for KU after allowing four runs — all earned — off six hits over three innings.

ISU led, 4-0, after four innings. Kocon made it 4-1 with a solo homer to left in the top of the fifth, but the Cyclones scored three runs off four hits in the bottom of the fifth to make it 7-1.

McCaulley hit her first home run of the season and second of her career in the seventh.
