KU women will get first-round bye in WNIT

The Kansas women's basketball team learned Monday night that they would not pick up an invitation to the women's NCAA Tourrnament.

They will, however, play in the WNIT. Late Monday night, the WNIT announced the Kansas was one of 16 teams that would have a bye in the first round.

In the second round, KU will meet the winner of Saturday's Creighton-UC Riverside game at 7 p.m. Monday at Allen Fieldhouse.

Can't wait!

Let's just hope the Women can get a lot of their games at the Field House.

I've got a good feeling about a deep run this year. Good luck, ladies.

Well... if things fall into place... we can snag 2 more confrence victories by possibily defeating Okie State in the 3rd round and Nebraska in the Quarter-finals. Two teams that Kansas has already beaten and split with this year...

Here's to hoping the best for Kansas and their deep run... its just a shame that in the semi-finals and finals are playing at one of the teams' schools as well...

FlaHawk, I guess you mean good breaks being we could play the same teams over again? I don't like that, I want to play someone that has never seen us but on film. Hasn't defended McCray or Morris, so I don't see that us playing Groundhog's day as a good thing.
