Start time changed for KU women’s Big 12 opener on Thursday

The Kansas women's basketball team is heading to Oklahoma City as the number eight seed in the Big 12 tournament.

Big 12 Conference officials have shifted the starting time for Thursday’s first-round game between Kansas and Nebraska in the Big 12 Conference women’s basketball tournament in Oklahoma City.

The KU-NU game was scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Cox Convention Center, but was moved to 1:30 p.m. to avoid conflict with the KU men who will be playing at 11:30 a.m. next door in the Ford Center.

In order to accommodate the change, the women’s game between No. 5 seed Kansas State and No. 12 seed Colorado was switched from 1:30 p.m. to 11 a.m.

They should've done the same last week when the ladies had senior night...

Agreed... and I'm surprised the LJW posted this... considering its a women's game announcement.

I just hope that the people who are going to the Men's game on Thursday now will head on over and watch the Women's Game...

Omegatron, and anyone else interested,

KU Women's 1st round game vs NU and all other Big12 Women's 1st round games will be televised by "Cox Cable"

All remaining rounds of the Big12 Women's tournament, will be televised on FSN.

Too bad Lawrence doesn't have a real newspaper that will report important facts like this.

Can anyone tell me what "Cox Cable" translates to for the rest of the country? I.e., would it be on ESPN Full Court or available somewhere else on the dial for those of us not in the area?

Got very busy today so I hadn't much time to look around. But didn't see it listed for direct TV or ESPN Full court.

Will check again tomorrow just in case.

Thanks. With that information I was able to determine that it'll be on Cox Channel 7 in OKC.
