Kansas University’s football team gained its sixth known commitment in the Class of 2010 last week when Antonio Burton, a safety out of Denton (Texas) Guyer High, told KU’s coaching staff he intends to sign with the Jayhawks, according to Rivals.com.
Burton, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, earned all-district honors as a junior in 2008 after recording 77 tackles and also working as a punt and kick returner.
“I sat down and met with coach Mark Mangino and we made it official… I’m a Jayhawk,” Burton told the Web site. “When we talked, he just wanted to know more about me as a person, and we had a good visit. I was kind of rushed because I flew in this morning and (am) leaving this afternoon. But I can't wait to get back.”
According to Rivals, Burton also received offers from UTEP, Tulsa and Arizona.

Welcome to the team. I'm sure you are a great player and I can not wait to see how you fit into this team. If Mangino recruited you then I have full faith that you have some amazing talent.
