KU’s Taylor leads U.S. to 106-55 rout of Iran

Kansas University sophomore guard Tyshawn Taylor scored a team-high 13 points in the United States’ 106-55 drubbing of Iran in the U-19 World Championships this morning in New Zealand.

The U.S., which had seven players in double figures, improved to 1-0.

Taylor shot 6-of-7 from the field, dished three assists, pulled down a rebound and nailed one of two three-point shots.

Seth Curry added 12 points, John Shurna and Terrico White each accounted for 11 points, and DeAngelo Casto, Howard Thompson and Ashton Gibbs each scored 10.

The United States will face France on Friday.
