Kansas City T-Bones left-hander Ryan Knippschild, a Kansas University product, has been named the Northern League pitcher of the week.

Knippschild allowed just two runs, one earned, on seven hits over seven innings in his only start last week, striking out six in a victory over the Schaumburg Flyers.

The 26-year-old hurler is 2-1 with a 3.07 earned-run average over 44 innings in seven starts. He is tied for third in the league in ERA.
