KU soccer player Cressy honored

Kansas University freshman soccer player Emily Cressy has been selected as the Female Athlete of the Year by the USA Deaf Sports Federation for 2008. Cressy was honored along with Purdue track and field athlete Joshua Hembrough by the organization.

Cressy, a freshman forward from Ventura, Calif., was named Big 12 Rookie of the Year, as well as a Freshman All-American. She scored eight goals and collected three assists during the regular season, including four game-winning goals.
